Ever felt like you had a baby?

Well today, I just delivered one.

My dissertation. My thesis. My baby.

Honestly.It was such an overwhealming feeling. I was quite organised in my note taking, separating the information in different chapters, albeit I started pretty late.

I had gotten everything READY, and then I started feeling nervous. Oh come on, just to pass the book to the Amory counter was so nerve-wrecking? Geez, never felt this way!

It was such love between me and the 84-page of hard work and preseverence. It was Amazing. I almost cried.

The aftermath : Relief.

InshaAllah, all should be fine.

And my poor old man, my supervisor, still had the love to reply me with such encouraging messages even though he knows he is going to face a bunch of crazy words! Such an encouraging and assuring person! I must reply him now. At least I wont feel nervous opening his mails again…fearing bad remarks, which he never gave me! Always pointing out only the good things, with positively, constructive remarks. And its always ‘hope its going on well’ in the end. I really owe him a lot. A whole lot. Truly AMAZING person! Proves that the more you learn, the more humble you become. Not the other way round.

Okay, its been 30 hours since I had a wink (if you dont count the 4 mins of winks + crazy dream I had sitting on the stairs outside my studio while waiting for my husband) so Off you go!

I dont get it. I seriously DON’T get it. What is so great about running after a job that is boring anyway? So, securing a job means you have demonstrated your capability already? You bet.

I just don’t find this excitement appealing. Maybe its just me. I’d rather be ploughing my grandfather’s field and plant corn if that’s my passion. Passion will lead to an entrepreneur who will bomb one day. Why confine it to a 12 X 13 (sometimes smaller) cubicle, drink coffee all day, hope for the clock to run to 5pm, and then resent the boss for telling you things you wouldn’t want to do, (but you have to, because you’re a (corporate) slave, remember), and then go home feeling like you have been beaten up completely, only to start the next day feeling like crap again for going through the whole thing again.

Damn, if only phone bills and rents were free, we all wouldn’t do this, you ask?

I say, do what you love. period. Till then, that Prada and shopping can wait.Then, get a Lamborghini, for all you care.

No matter how your lyrics make sense, no matter how powerful it is, its the rhythm and tune that makes it sell.

Life is very unexpected. Life twists, turns, and yet, we wouldn’t notice this until far. InshaAllah, whatever happens, Allah gives us the strength and wisdom to accept life as He planned for us :)

My head is not burning from thinking anymore, because I’m getting too used to this speed.

At the same time, I CANNOT imagine that Eid is in 3days, and I am sitting here, in pyjamas, unprepared for Eid, but preparing for my dissertation!

Its not like its the most ridiculous thing ever, and this is what I SHOULD be doing, but this is just getting into my head. I am working TOO hard for God’s sake………yes for Him it is :)

Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya, Eid Mubarak to all. Everyone on facebook is already on the mode, and lucky shrews, posting all kinds of pictures, cookies, status updates, that is making me boil up…….hehe.

I just need a dessert, and I’ll be fine. Trust me.

I am appalled by certain people, my people I should say, who seem to think that their greatness, alone is the reason of their success.

WAKE UP!

Allah made you credible.

Allah made your credibility to be noticed by the government, and get a scholarship.

There are thousands of scholars as important, or even better than you are, who did not get a scholarship, and are taking private loans to reach their dreams.

And so- don’t try to sit in a cocoon, write a piece of essay and pack back home, saying you did a great thing.- IT ISN’T.

Rest assured that I was not referring to anyone specific when I wrote the deadly, poisonous piece of status update- however, I am no losing end when you bite that piece of chilli, feeling the sting on a particular side of your ear.

I am not going to sit there feeling sorry for your arrogance or your shallowness.

You can well dwell into your own mentality while the country is actually seeking for matured,  people who are not judgemental- and can actually listen.

If you all talk at the same time, you will sound like a classroom full of noisy children. Sometimes thats what the situation’s like.

Listen. Really think.

Create legacies- dont argue!

It takes a lot of acceptance to create one.

Ideas aren’t just a persons……Its collective team work.

Work towards this! And dont think you’re the smartest person EVER. You’re not. Nor am I. Dont be a dumb smartypants.

Be an intelligent, humble person. No one said a smarty pants can run the country efficiently- they don’t, if they dont have people skills.

Legacies are about leadership. If you dont have one, you just dont have it. But you can learn- not too late- LEARN!

Fine. theres no turning back now. Theres NO feeling bad about this.

Turn the lights. Sitting on my desk, tapping away, furiously, GETTING IT DONE!

THERES NO WAY IM GOING TO SUCCUMB…………………………

And only a loser would sit down and let the heat of the light into her head.

I am going to turn that light to shine on the alphabets I’m reading…………

Enya’s so inspiring, and we love her music. Yes, made my dearest to like her music too :)) Its not difficult when the music’s heavenly, isn’t it?

Yes am right now super mugged down with books! After Sahoor, I sat down, skimmed a book till the end,and now I’m 250+ pages through another one which I am flipping through every page to read which are the relevant points.

I have been reading only journals recently, and trust me- they are quite intimidating because everything seems overly, sickeningly, relevant.

And there’s also this bugging thought in my mind at odd (or kind of all the time) which is definitely just a ploy by the devil to bring down my productiveness- that everyone else is doing much better than me! You dumba**, get out of my head! Yes, am mean like that to the devils. heh.

Ms CE cannot be nice to devils……

And. I am so happy.

Its 7.46am in the morning and both hubby and even the hamster is sleeping, curled in the cotton soft bedding, that I almost cant differentiate which is cotton and which is my adorable hammy. He is just the most spoilt thing in the world. Though I admit sometimes I dont play enough with him! Poor guy. He will come and stare at us with these big beady eyes and the most innocent face, with his arms just looking hundred times more lovely than Shrek’s puss in boots. Trust me. This guy is smart. The moment I let him out- he is all around going crazy in his ball, and then I know he is tired, I let him in his home again, and he starts munching on food and doesn’t even bother to look at me! Cute guy.

Alright. I need to get back to books or get some sleep! Nitey!
